Narrative works offline, so you can cull your photos without an internet connection. You just need to get a few things ready while you're still online.
How do I get Narrative ready to use offline?
While you're connected to the internet:
Install Narrative, open it and sign in.
Let the AI models download. Narrative needs an internet connection the first time it opens to download them.
If you want to edit offline, download the AI Presets you plan to use.
Make sure your photos are saved on your computer or a connected drive. Files that are only stored in the cloud won't be available offline.
Open a test project and let it finish processing, so you know everything's working.
If your photos are on an external drive, bring it with you and keep it connected while you work.
How long can I use Narrative offline?
Up to 30 days at a time. The 30 days count from the last time you signed in to Narrative, not from when you went offline.
After 30 days, Narrative won't open offline. Reconnect to the internet and sign in to keep going.
Heading to a long shoot without internet? Connect and sign in to Narrative just before you leave.
Can I apply an AI Preset offline?
Yes, as long as the AI Preset has downloaded to your computer first. An AI Preset that hasn't downloaded can't be used offline, so download it, and finish any Personal AI Preset training, before you go.
What if Narrative asks me to sign in while I'm offline?
Reconnect to the internet, sign in, then open your project again.
