Can I restore a deleted Publish post?

We may be able to restore a deleted Publish post for a short time. Here's what to send us.

Written by Ashton Smith

If you deleted a Publish post by mistake, we may be able to restore it for you. You can't restore it yourself, and we can't promise we'll be able to get it back, so contact us as soon as you can.

How do I ask for a deleted post to be restored?

To ask us to restore a post, contact us through the chat bubble or at [email protected]. Let us know:

  • The email address for your Narrative account.

  • The post title.

  • The link to the post on your website, if you have it.

  • Roughly when you deleted it.

Never send us your passwords or card details.

How long do I have to restore a deleted post?

We can only restore deleted posts for a short time after they're deleted, so contact us straight away.

If we can restore your post, you may still need your original photos to publish it again. Keep your original photos and any backups until your post is back.

Is my post deleted, or just unpublished?

You can delete a post whether it's published or not. If it's published, Publish warns you that deleting it will also take the post offline from your website, and you click Yes, Un-publish and Delete to go ahead. If you unpublished your post but didn't delete it, it's still in Publish and you can publish it again yourself. See Delete or unpublish a Publish post to learn more.

What if I cancelled my Publish subscription?

If you cancelled your Publish subscription, your plan stays active until the end of the period you paid for. Once your plan is cancelled, you have 30 days to restore your subscription and keep your posts live. To learn more, see What happens when I cancel Publish? Then contact us through the chat bubble or at [email protected], and we'll check what we can recover for you.
