People Filter lets you filter your shoot to show one person or any combination of people, so you can see how much coverage you have of each person at a glance. Instead of scrolling and counting yourself, filter, check the count and cull with confidence.
Which plans include People Filter?
People Filter is part of Advanced AI Culling, on Standard, Premium and Ultra plans. It's on by default for new projects, and it works with every shoot type, including weddings, families, headshots and events.
People Filter is on Mac. It isn't on Windows yet, but Windows support is on the way.
How do I filter by a person?
Open the filter bar.
Click the People filter. It's one of the default filters on Mac.
If you don't see it, click the More ⋮ menu and check People.
Select the person or people you want to see.
Your grid then shows only the photos with those people in them, along with the total count.
Note: The count includes any other filters you have on. Face detection can sometimes miss a face or group it with the wrong person, so double-check coverage of the moments that matter most.
How do I filter by more than one person?
To filter by more than one person in People Filter, select each person, then choose how to combine them:
Any: shows photos with any of the selected people in them.
All: shows only photos with all of the selected people together.
To clear your selection, check All people.
What are ungrouped people?
Ungrouped people are faces Narrative found but hasn't grouped into a person yet. To see them, click Show ungrouped people at the bottom of the People Filter list.
How do I name a person in People Filter?
To name a person, hover over their Person label in People Filter, click it and type a name. The name shows in People Filter for that project, which makes it easier to find people as you cull.
Can I use People Filter with other filters?
You can use People Filter alongside ratings, Scenes and AI First Pass filters. If photos you expect to see are missing, check whether another filter is hiding them and clear it.
How can I use People Filter to check coverage?
People Filter is a quick way to check you have enough photos of the people who matter. For example, at a wedding you can check you have enough photos of the couple together as well as on their own:
Select one person to see every photo they're in.
Add the other person and choose Any to see photos of either of them.
Switch to All to see only the photos of them together.
You can also use People Filter to put together a sneak peek of specific people in minutes.
To have Narrative point out the key people for you in Close-ups, see Key People Highlighting.
