Your Personal AI Preset improves automatically the more you use it. When you correct its edits in Lightroom Classic and export your photos, Narrative uses your corrections to retrain it, so it gets closer to your style over time.
This only works for Personal AI Presets, the ones trained on your own edits. Core and Artist AI Presets don't learn from your corrections.
How do I get my corrections to count?
For your corrections to count, follow these steps:
Cull your shoot in Narrative and choose the photos you want to edit.
Click Ship + Edit and turn on Apply AI Preset for Lightroom.
Choose your Personal AI Preset and ship to Lightroom Classic.
Make your adjustments in Lightroom Classic, like exposure, contrast or color.
Export your photos from Lightroom Classic. Narrative only counts corrections once you export.
If you ship photos without your Personal AI Preset applied, the edits you make to them won't improve it.
When does my AI Preset retrain?
Your AI Preset retrains automatically once you've made enough corrections:
Premium: after every 1,000 corrections.
Ultra: after every 250 corrections.
You don't need to do anything. Narrative retrains your AI Preset in the background, and the updated version appears in the app when it's ready.
How do I see how many corrections I've made?
To see how many corrections Narrative has counted, go to AI Presets and hover over the i icon on your AI Preset.
Why isn't my correction count going up?
If your correction count isn't going up, check these:
You applied your Personal AI Preset when you shipped.
You exported your photos from Lightroom Classic after editing them.
You exported to your computer or an external drive, not a NAS (network-attached storage) or cloud drive.
What if my AI Preset hasn't updated?
If you've reached the number of corrections for your plan but don't see an updated AI Preset, quit and reopen Narrative, then wait up to 24 hours. If it still hasn't updated, contact us through the chat bubble or at [email protected]. Tell us your AI Preset's name and the steps you followed.
Can I stop my AI Preset learning from my corrections?
You can't turn this off yourself, but our team can do it for you. Contact us through the chat bubble or at [email protected] if you don't want your AI Preset to keep learning from your corrections.
