When you cancel Publish, the blog posts it hosts on your website stop showing, because Publish hosts their photos. Before you cancel, you can keep your posts live with the Parking Plan, or export them and host them yourself.
Publish is a separate app from Narrative. Cancelling Publish doesn't cancel your Narrative subscription.
How do I keep my posts live?
To keep your posts live, move to the Publish Parking Plan. It costs 10 USD a year and keeps all your published posts on your website. While you're on it, you can't create new posts or edit old ones, but you can move back to a normal Publish plan at any time.
Click Subscription on the left, then click Cancel Plan under your Publish subscription.
Choose Change to the Parking Plan.
Check the details and confirm.
How do I export my posts and host them myself?
If you're on a yearly Publish plan, you can export your posts as JPGs and add them to your own website. Do this before you cancel.
Export your posts. Learn how to export posts as JPGs.
Save the files somewhere you control.
Upload them to your website in the right order, and add any text again.
Check the new page on your live website before you cancel Publish.
An exported JPG isn't a full copy of your post. Text isn't exported, and Publish features like the Lightbox don't come with it. If you can't see the export option on your plan, contact us before you cancel.
What happens if I just cancel?
If you cancel without moving to the Parking Plan, here's what happens:
Your Publish plan stays active until the end of the period you've paid for.
Once that period ends, your plan is cancelled.
You then have 30 days to restore your subscription and keep your blog posts live.
After 30 days, your posts come off your website and are deleted from our system.
Learn how to cancel your subscription, and make sure you cancel the Publish subscription. If you might need your posts later, park or export them first.
Can I get my posts back after I cancel?
To get your posts back, restore your subscription within 30 days of your plan being cancelled. Contact us through the chat bubble and we'll help. Starting a new subscription doesn't bring old posts back on its own, and we can't get posts back once they've been deleted. Keeping your own photos and exports means you'll always have a copy.
Can I get a refund?
Cancelling doesn't request a refund. To learn about our 14-day refund policy and how to ask for one, see How do I cancel my subscription?
