Publishing to other websites

Add a Publish post to a website we don't have a guide for by pasting its embed code into an HTML or embed block.

Written by Ashton Smith

You can add a Publish post to a website we don't have a separate guide for by pasting its embed code into your website. Check Publishing to your website first, in case there's a guide for your website.

How do I copy my post's embed code?

First, set up your publishing details if you haven't already. Choose Other as your website's host.

  1. In Publish, finish your post.

  2. Click Publish and wait for it to finish uploading.

  3. Click Copy Link. This copies your post's embed code.

How do I add my post to my website?

Next, paste the code into a part of your website that can read and load HTML. This is often called an HTML editor, an embed section or a Custom HTML block. If you paste it anywhere else, like a normal text block, your post won't load.

Your website also needs to allow JavaScript (the code that loads your post). Then publish the page on your website, and open the live page to check your whole post shows.

What if my website doesn't allow JavaScript?

If your website doesn't allow JavaScript, you can export your post as JPGs and upload those instead, on a yearly Publish plan.

If you can't find the right block on your website, contact us through the chat bubble or at [email protected].
