Text blocks let you add words to your Publish post, like your story, headings or captions. When you publish, your text uses your website's own fonts and colors, so it matches the rest of your site.
How do I add text to my Publish post?
To add text to your Publish post, follow these steps.
In the Gallery panel, click Blocks and drag the text block to where you want it in your post. You can place it above or below your photos or blank spacers.
Double-click the text block to type your text, and change its style, size and spacing in the panel on the right.
Use the Style and alignment options to choose how your text shows on your website. For the best results, use the same heading styles your website uses.
Note: If your text doesn't look right after you publish, change the formatting in Publish and click Update Blog. Your website then shows the changes.
What text styles can I use?
The Style menu in Publish has six text sizes:
Header 1
Header 2
Header 3
Header 4
Header 5
Paragraph
Header 1 is the largest, for attention-grabbing main headings. Paragraph is the smallest, for body text.
Can I change the font of my text?
The Preview Font option lets you see your text in a different font while you build your post. The font isn't sent to your website. When you publish, your text uses your website's font settings instead.
How do I align my text?
To align your text, use the alignment buttons under the style options. You can align text left, center or right, or justify it.
How do I change the width of my text?
To change how wide your text is, use Container Width in the panel on the right. Choose XS, S, M or L to set how much space there is on the left and right of your text.
How do I add space above and below my text?
To add space above or below your text, double-click the text block and press Return to add empty lines.
You can also add blank spacers above and below your text block. See Add extra space around your images with Blank Space.
How do I add a link to my text?
To add a link to text in your Publish post:
Highlight the text you want to link.
Click the link icon in the Selected Text panel.
Enter the link.
Click OK.
To show the link on your website, click Publish, or Update Blog if your post is already published.
If your website has its own color for links, your linked text uses it when you publish.
