Blank Space is a block in Publish that adds empty space to your post's layout. It works like an empty image: you place it and resize it like a photo, which helps you create more creative layouts.
What can I do with Blank Space?
Blank Space lets you leave gaps in your layout, so your photos don't have to fill every space. Here are some examples of layouts made with Blank Space:
How do I add Blank Space to my post?
To add Blank Space to your Publish post, follow these steps.
Open your post. The Blank Space block is in the bottom left of the window.
Drag the Blank Space block to where you want it in your layout, the same way you'd drag a photo. It starts at its smallest height or width.
To change its size, hover over the Blank Space and drag the blue bars.
Your Blank Space now sits in your layout, the same as a photo.
How do I make another block the same shape?
Once a Blank Space is the shape you want, you can copy its shape (aspect ratio) to another block. Follow these steps.
Click the Blank Space with the shape you want, then press Command + C.
Click the block you want to change, then press Command + V.
The second block changes to the same shape as the first.
