If you've already shipped your images from Narrative to Lightroom but now want to apply a new or different Edit Style to them, here's what you need to do:
Option 1: Apply Edit Style without shipping to Lightroom
Toggle off Lightroom:
In the shipping window, toggle off "Open in editing program".
Select your Edit Style:
Ensure "Apply an Edit Style" is toggled on, and you've selected your chosen Style.
Apply the Edit Style:
Click the "EDIT IMAGES" button to apply the selected Edit Style to your images.
Read Metadata in Lightroom:
Open Lightroom and select your images you added a new Edit Style to. Right-click and choose Metadata -> Read Metadata from File
Please Note: Reading Metadata changes in Lightroom will overwrite any previous tweaks or edits.
Option 2: Removing Shipped Images from Catalog
Remove Images in Lightroom:
Select the images inside of Lightroom that you want to ship again with a new Style. On your keyboard, press the Delete key, and then click 'Remove from Lightroom'.
Ship + Edit Images from Narrative:
Inside of Narrative, click the SHIP + EDIT button, choose your selection you'd like to ship, and these will now be able to be imported into Lightroom.
Option 3: Creating a New Lightroom Catalog
Create a New Lightroom Catalog:
Start by creating a new Lightroom Catalog. You can do this either inside the Narrative shipping menu, or inside of Lightroom Classic. This step is necessary to apply a new Edit Style to images you've already shipped.
Ship Images with New Edit Style:
Once you've set up the new catalog, you can now ship your images again with the desired new Edit Style through the shipping menu.
If you've done option 2 but would prefer to use your previous LR Catalog, follow the below:
Inside Lightroom Classic, open your preferred Catalog that contains your already shipped images. Now, click all your images you've applied the new Edit Style to.
Right-click, choose 'Metadata' > 'Read Metadata from File'. This updates the metadata to reflect the Edits made in Narrative Select. Learn about syncing metadata by clicking here.
