When you train or improve a Personal AI Preset, Narrative uploads your edited images and edit data so it can learn your editing style. That data is private to your account. Other Narrative users can't see it, use it or copy your style.
What's uploaded when I train a Personal AI Preset?
Narrative uploads the edited images and editing information it uses for training, then learns how you edit from them. Your training images and edit data are stored on secure servers.
What's uploaded when my Personal AI Preset improves from my corrections?
When you adjust photos edited by your Personal AI Preset and export them from Lightroom Classic, Narrative can collect those corrections to improve the same preset.
Only Personal AI Presets learn from your corrections. Core Presets and Artist Presets don't. See how automatic improvement works.
Can other people see or use my Personal AI Preset?
Only your account can use the Personal AI Presets trained for it. Other Narrative users can't access your Personal AI Presets, training images or edit data, and none of it is shared publicly.
We'll never sell or share your Personal AI Presets without your direct permission.
Does Narrative use my edit data for anything else?
Yes, in two limited ways:
Your edit data may be used to improve how Narrative trains AI Presets in general. This never lets other users copy your editing style.
Our team may look at your AI Presets and images to diagnose issues and check how the product is performing.
Is Personal AI Preset training the same as the Help improve Narrative setting?
Personal AI Preset training and Help improve Narrative are separate. Help improve Narrative is an optional setting that uploads image previews to help us improve Narrative's features. It doesn't control Personal AI Preset training.
You can turn Help improve Narrative on or off in Preferences → General. Learn how Narrative uses your photos.
Do I need to be online to use my Personal AI Preset?
Training happens in the cloud, so you need an internet connection to train your Personal AI Preset and download it. Once it's downloaded, you can apply it to your photos offline. Using Narrative offline.
