Before you publish a post from Publish, you need to save your publishing details. They tell Publish your website's address and which website host you use.
Follow the steps for how you'll publish: with the Narrative WordPress plugin, or with embed code that you paste into your website.
How do I set up my publishing details for the WordPress plugin?
If your website is on WordPress, the Narrative Publisher plugin sends your posts straight to your WordPress website. To set it up, you install the plugin in WordPress, enter your website's URL in your publishing settings in Publish, then connect the two with your access key.
In your publishing settings, enter your website's URL, click WordPress, then click Continue.
Once Publish finds the plugin, it shows your access key. Click the access key to copy it, then paste it into the Narrative plugin in WordPress.
When you see Authentication successful and the Categories section opens, you're ready to publish.

How do I set up my publishing details for embed code?
If you publish with embed code, you copy your post's code from Publish and paste it into your website. Here's how to set up your publishing details for it.
In Publish, click the gear icon to open your publishing settings.
Enter your website's URL, for example www.mywebsite.com.
Choose your website's host. Click Squarespace if your website is on Squarespace. For any other website, including WordPress without the plugin, Showit and Wix, click Other.
Click Continue.
Click Start Publishing, or Ok if you're changing settings you saved before.

Can I publish via code when the WordPress plugin is set up?
You can publish a post via code even when the WordPress plugin is set up, without changing your publishing settings. In your post, change the category to Publish via Code, then click Publish. What if I can't see the Publish panel?
If you can't see the panel on the right with your Publish and SEO tabs, it may be collapsed. Click the round button with the arrow in it to show or hide the panel.
