Color Labels are Not Showing in Lightroom Classic
Updated over a week ago

When shipping to Lightroom Classic, color labels will automatically transfer and be reflected in your catalog. Please note that color labels are not supported in Lightroom CC.

If the color labels added in Narrative aren't transferring correctly to Lightroom Classic, or if they're appearing as white, it's likely that your Lightroom Classic is set to a language other than English, which will prevent it from recognizing the colors.

To resolve this, you can either switch your Lightroom language settings to English or keep your current language and follow the steps below to adjust the color label settings:

  1. Go to Metadata > Color Label Set > Edit.

2. Enter the corresponding color names in English.

3. Click on Save Current Settings as a New Preset

4. Name the preset "Select" and then click on Change.

5. Press ⌘ Command + J (Mac) or Ctrl + J (Windows) to open the view settings. Make sure you have the following options marked:

After doing this, you should see your color labels as shown below:

After completing these steps, the next time you import your images into Lightroom Classic, go to Metadata > Select and you'll have your reading settings applied.
