Why do the photos in my Publish post look blurred on WordPress?

Written by Ashton Smith

If your WordPress website uses a Flothemes theme, the theme's lazy loading setting can make the photos in your Publish post look blurred, like this. This can happen after updating to WordPress 5.4 or later. Lazy loading is a setting that loads photos only as people scroll down the page.

How do I fix blurred photos with a Flothemes theme?

To fix blurred photos, turn off the theme's lazy loading for your content:

  1. Go to your WordPress dashboard, where you manage your website's settings.

  2. Click Flotheme in the menu on the left.

  3. Scroll down and click 7. Generics. In the settings panel that opens, find the Miscellaneous tab and open it.

  4. Find Enable lazy loading for WP - content area and turn it off.

  5. Save your settings.

Then refresh your post on your website. Your photos should no longer look blurred.
