Your Publish post fills all the space your website gives it. If your Squarespace blog doesn't have a maximum width, your post can stretch across the full width of the browser. If your blog is set to a narrow width, your post can look very small.
How do I change the width of my Squarespace blog?
You can set a maximum width, in pixels, for all the posts in a Squarespace blog by adding a short piece of code. Follow these steps:
In Squarespace, go to Pages.
Open the blog you want to change.
Open Blog settings at the top of the page.
Click the Advanced tab.
Paste this code into the Page Header Code Injection box:
<style>.BlogItem {max-width: 1000px;margin-left: auto;margin-right: auto;}</style>Click Save.
Reload your post on your website.
The posts in that blog now show up to 1000px wide, centered on the page.
Tip: To use a different width, change 1000px in the code to the width you want. We suggest anything between 700px and 1500px.
Note: This code hasn't been tested on every Squarespace theme. If your blog width doesn't change, contact us through the chat bubble or at [email protected] with the link to your live page.
