The latest version of Narrative Select is 2.7.0, released on 30 September 2026. It's the same version for Mac and Windows.

On Mac, click Narrative Select + Edit in the menu bar. On Windows, open the App menu.

Click About Narrative. Your version number is shown in the window that opens.

Narrative usually updates itself. To update straight away, open the same menu and click Check for Updates, then click Restart Now when the update is ready. <a href="https://help.narrative.so/en/articles/7337415-update-narrative-and-see-what-s-new">Learn more about updating Narrative and seeing what's new</a>.

On a Mac with macOS 11 or earlier, Narrative can't update. <a href="https://help.narrative.so/en/articles/12816813-how-do-i-upgrade-macos-to-use-narrative">Learn how to upgrade macOS to use Narrative</a>.
