What is the Download Images 'Button'?
The Download Images 'Button' is designed to give visitors to your website an easy way to download all the images from your blog post. You can place the Download Button anywhere within your blog post.
This is a great way to deliver sneak-peeks to your clients shortly after you have completed shooting their job.
How to add the Download Button
- Select the + button from the top of Narrative.
- Drag the button to the desired location on your post.
- Open the inspector tab and select the download button to navigate to the properties tab.
Editing the Download Button
From within the Properties tab, you can change the following settings:
The title is the text that will display in the button.
The style will change the alignment of your button from left/centre/right
- Use Narrative Style
When selected, the download button will use Narrative's design for the button. This is a basic black outlined box with the text in the centre.
When unselected, the download button will use the .button styling from your website so that it is consistent with other buttons on your site.
This adjusts the size of the download button.
The "-" option automatically sets the width in relation to your text length.
What do users actually download?
When a user is on your blog and they hit 'download images', it will initiate a download. The user will download a zip file that has the same title as your blog post.
When un-zipped the user will find a folder that contains each of the images within the post. Side-by-side images will be delivered as single images and ready for the user to share the images on social media etc.
Please note: The images will be downloaded with an image width of 1500px. This feature is not an alternative image delivery for your clients. It's designed to be used to send sneak-peeks and therefore the images as at a reduced image size.
